What Determines Face Shape?
What determines face shape is the relationship between three main measurements: the
width of your forehead, the width of your cheekbones, and the width of your jawline, plus the overall
length of your face.
Method 1: The AI Way (Easiest)
How can I find out the shape of my face without tools? Simply use our what is my
face shape finder. It scans your face and calculates the ratios for you in seconds.
Method 2: The Manual Way
If you prefer to measure manually, follow these steps:
- Measure Forehead: Measure across the widest part.
- Measure Cheekbones: Measure from the sharpest point below the outer corner of each
eye.
- Measure Jawline: Measure from the tip of your chin to below your ear. Multiply by
2.
- Measure Face Length: Measure from the center of your hairline to the tip of your
chin.
Interpreting Results
- Oval: Face length is greater than cheekbone width, and forehead is greater than
jawline.
- Round: Face length and cheekbones are similar.
- Square: All measurements are fairly similar.
- Heart: Forehead is wider than cheekbones and jawline, with a pointed chin.
